I have found an internship and a entry level job that I would be interested in. However, these are my last result plans; as I have a few ideas of my own company and products that I am currently planning and designing. Both of these opportunities are from Epic Games studios. They are currently offering a summer 2020,
internship that requires showing our current skill in game development from art and graphical design to scripting and visual concept. The duties consist of giving feedback, playtesting, aiding the graphical design team, and aid in fixing open issues. Epic Games also has a current position open for a
game designer at their headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. The job requires knowledge in blueprinting, networking, and a broad skillset of game development. They do recommend to be familiar with Fortnite and network replication.
I have over six years of art work and graphic design that I can use in game development. I have the skills of business administration; such as marketing, accounting, and organizational management that would allow me to become part of their business section of the company. As far as game design goes, I can write stories, design levels layouts, and audio design. I need to really practice and learn blueprinting, programming, character design, animation, and 3D-modeling. I have taken multiple business and game design courses. This semester I am taking an actual game development class that has really been helpful and extremely wonderful in aiding me in my game development skills. Next semester I will be participating in a 3D-modeling class, and I am trying to learn programing and animation online. I try to do everything myself; as I really enjoy the experience, along with the benefit of working at my own pace. My plans are to continue to learn and understand game development, and I am hoping to have one of my own full fledged developed games finished very soon. As far as the internship and job offers go, I am not sure if I will do them this year or not; as I enjoy having a big game development company like Epic Games close to me, but I do not want to work on Fortnite; as I really do not have the patience for that game. Other than that, I would love and accept the experience!
